Negroni Week is Here! 21-27 Sept

🥃 Head out and get tasting!

Napier Negroni Week returns from Monday 21 to Sunday 27 September, and this year it's bigger than ever. A collaboration between Napier City and Ahuriri, backed by the Napier City Business Association, the event brings together 19 venues across the CBD and Ahuriri, serving up more than 30 negroni variations for you to hunt down and try.

The inaugural event in 2025 was a huge success — the perfect excuse to shake off the last of winter and drink your way into spring. This year's judging panel returns too, with winemakers Gordon Russell and Amy Hopkinson-Styles once again assessing entries across two categories: Classic and Riff.

A digital and print map will guide negroni-hunters through the city's offerings, from wine bars and cocktail bars to pubs and fine dining restaurants — and organisers reckon it's only a matter of time before Napier earns its stripes as New Zealand's negroni capital.

Right here in Ahuriri, six venues are taking part: Mix'd, The Gintrap, Casa Ahuriri, Shed 2 on the Quay, Madame Social, and East Pier. Head out and support our local spots, before venturing into the city to determine which is your favourite.

You’ve got all week, so take your time!
