Seaweek in Ahuriri - Fun Marine Activities for Families

Ahuriri is celebrating Seaweek with a week of fun, hands-on experiences for all ages.

Families can Explore the Rocky Shore with marine experts from the National Aquarium of New Zealand on Saturday 7 March at 3:30pm, meeting at Hardinge Road. Discover the creatures that live along our coastline, touch sea stars and shells, and learn fascinating facts about marine life in a fun, interactive way.

Make it stand out

There’s also a Twilight Walk & Talk at the Ahuriri Estuary on Thursday 5 March at 5:30pm, where participants can learn about this unique ecosystem as the sun sets, spotting birds and other wildlife along the estuary trails.

Plus, there are lots of other Seaweek activities happening throughout the week, offering something for everyone interested in the coast, conservation, and the environment.

Spaces are limited, so make sure to register via the event’s Facebook pages to secure your spot:
