Pearl of Ahuriri launches dental education programme for families
"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."
Pearl of Ahuriri recognises the growing strain on New Zealand’s school dental services. With limited capacity, many Oral Health Therapists no longer have the time to deliver essential preventive dental education—a crucial step in protecting children’s teeth from decay.
That’s why they’re proud to introduce a much-needed new children’s oral health prevention programme, focused on babies, toddlers, and young children. Early intervention is key to establishing strong oral hygiene habits and ensuring healthy teeth for life.
Their mission is to support families across Napier and Hawke’s Bay with practical, expert-led guidance to reduce the risk of tooth decay in children, and ease the burden on an already stretched system.
If you're looking for children’s dental care, early oral health education, or ways to help your child avoid future dental issues, Pearl is here to help—from the very first tooth.
